Abstract

The limitation of the problem in this research is creative writing for students in the form of paragraphs which are placed between existing standard short stories as beginner writing exercises. The formulation of the problem in this writing is whether students are able to write creatively by adding narrative short stories in the form of paragraphs to existing short stories. This research uses a qualitative approach by presenting data in the form of detailed descriptions, direct quotes, and documentation or cases. This data source is related to the short story text Gerhana by Mohammad Ali in 2016. Using the Problem Based Learning method, namely: project-based learning cannot be separated from careful planning. This data uses a data network instrument in the form of columns which functions to facilitate monitoring of incoming data created for students. Next, the data from students' creative writing is entered and then the text is analyzed in the form of language exposure. The Data Collection Instrument is equipped with column tables 1 and 2 to make it easier to monitor student work results in real time. There are three paths to qualitative data analysis in data analysis, namely: data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions.
