Abstract

This study discusses the influence of the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) on the learning interest of Generation Z students. The main objective of this study is to examine the influence of the use of AI on the learning interest of Generation Z students. This study aims to answer the question: "Can the use of AI in learning increase students' learning interest?" The method used is a literature study by showing the easy adoption of AI by Generation Z to support academic activities. The results of the study can provide a better understanding, related to the use of AI on the learning interest of Generation Z is complex and depends on how this technology is used and its purpose. This article also discusses the use of specific AI tools such as ChatGPT, Quizizz, Google Gemini, and Chatbok analyzing their benefits and negative impacts, including the potential for technological dependency. This issue arises because although AI is considered an innovative solution to improve the quality of learning, there are concerns that the use of this technology can reduce personal interaction between lecturers and students, which has the potential to reduce learning interest. In conclusion, the impact of AI on the learning interest of Generation Z is complex and depends on how this technology is used and the purpose of use by students.
