The purpose of this study was to improve students' critical thinking skills in algebra material for seventh graders at SMP Dharma Wanita 02 Wajak. Based on initial observations, it was found that students' mathematical critical thinking skills were still low, with an average score of 47.05% on the preliminary test. This was caused by conventional learning methods that were less interesting and the minimal use of learning media. This study used a qualitative method with a literature study approach and temporary analysis. Data were collected through interviews, observations, critical thinking ability tests (pre-test and post-test), and documentation. The research subjects were 28 seventh grade students. The results of interviews with teachers and students showed that students liked games and would be more motivated if learning was packaged in the form of games. Therefore, the researcher developed a learning media in the form of an Educational Game (Educaplay) for algebra material. The results of the study showed a significant increase in students' critical thinking skills after using Educaplay media. The average score of students increased from 61.2 in the pre-test to 80.4 in the post-test. Students also showed higher engagement and enthusiasm in learning, and gave a positive response to this media. Teachers also found this media effective in bridging abstract algebraic concepts and reducing student boredom. However, there were technical challenges, such as limited devices and internet access, that were overcome. Overall, this educational game proved to be an effective tool for improving students' critical mathematical thinking skills.
