Pendampingan Olimpiade Matematika Pada Santri PPTQ Nurul Furqon Al Chusainiyyah di MA Mu’allimat

Abstract

Tahfidz Qur’an Nurul Furqon Al Chusainiyyah Islamic Boarding School is a non-formal educational institution that deepens Islamic religious knowledge, especially in memorizing the Al-Quran and practicing it as a guide for daily life. Not only learning about religion, the students also learn general knowledge including mathematics olympiads.  Mathematics Olympiads need to be provided to equip students with the ability to think logically, analytically, systematically, critically and creatively. A balance in honing memorization and reasoning skills can make it easier for students to learn general science, especially mathematics. Mathematics olympiad activities are an additional lesson for students who have talent in this field. These additional lessons have been proven to have a positive influence on students and the cottage environment. The aim of this community service is to provide mathematics olympiad material to students who have greater talent in the field of mathematics. The method used in implementing this community service is in the form of learning mathematics olympiad materials at the Aliyah/Senior High School level. During the implementation of this trial, students were very enthusiastic about participating in mathematics olympiad learning activities. Some have won championships at the national level.
