Penerapan Model Pembelajaran Picture and Picture Menggunakan Card Media untuk Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Materi Peluang Siswa Kelas IX B SMP Negeri 4 Wewewa Barat

The low student learning outcomes in probability material are due to students' inability to solve abstract mathematical problems such as ideas, concepts, symbols, and sets. One effort that teachers can make to improve mathematics learning outcomes is by implementing the picture and picture learning model using media cards. The purpose of this study is to determine the application of the picture and picture learning model using media cards to improve the learning outcomes of class IX B students of SMP Negeri 4 Wewewa Barat. This study is a classroom action research consisting of two cycles with repeated actions in each cycle through the stages of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects of this study were 30 students of class IX B of SMP Negeri 4 Wewewa Barat in the odd semester of the 2018/2019 Academic Year. The research instrument was a test question with the material of probability. The test was carried out at the end of each cycle. The research data were analyzed descriptively through percentage analysis. The indicator of the success of this research is the increase in classical student learning outcomes as indicated by at least 80% of all class IX B students of SMP Negeri 4 Wewewa Barat obtaining test scores ≥ 75 (KKM). The results of data analysis show that the percentage of class IX B students of SMP Negeri 4 Wewewa Barat who completed or had a written test score of ≥ 75 (KKM) on probability material in cycle 1 was only 60%. However, the percentage of student learning completion increased to 87% in cycle 2. This explains that the percentage of class IX B students of SMP Negeri 4 Wewewa Barat who completed or had learning outcomes of at least 'good' increased after students were taught through the picture and picture learning model using media cards for two cycles. The conclusion of this research is that the application of the picture and picture learning model using media cards can improve the learning outcomes of class IX B students of SMP Negeri 4 Wewewa Barat.
